Tristar Producer Services of Texas, L.P. (formerly Tristar Gas Marketing Company) is collectively referred to as "Tristar."

The original entity of Tristar Gas Marketing Company was established in 1992. The owners formed Tristar Producer Services of Texas, L.P. in 2003 to better represent the changing nature of the industry. All active accounts of Tristar Gas Marketing Company matriculated into the new entity.

The company is in its 30th year of providing comprehensive wellhead services to independent producers. Tristar takes title and purchases of natural gas natural gas liquids primarily from wellhead producers. Tristar's income is derived from negotiated fees for numerous services. The natural gas and liquids marketing fee is a net back arrangement (percentage of proceeds) based on a market-clearing sale price. For an additional fee, Tristar remits various royalty payments for producers. Tristar markets the wellhead natural gas to various markets. Many of Tristar's purchase and sales contracts have been in continuous service for more than 20 years.
